Illustration Academy at Ringling College:

June 1 - July 17, 2009
The Illustration Academy brings together some of America's most accomplished and best-known illustrators to share their insights and advice with students. The mission of the Academy is to jump start the career of the graduating student who is thrust into the market place to compete with the working professional.

Or come for just The Illustration Academy Lecture Week
June 22-26, 2009

Visiting artists come from all over the country and show their work. A demonstration or two may be scattered in as well, but for the most part Lecture Week is about seeing the work and talking with the illustrators about how they got started.  What kinds of mistakes did they make early on, and how can you avoid doing the same. This is your chance to ask the best what they do and how you can get started, or get a better foot-hold in the business. Bring your portfolio and have the artists take a look at your work and get a critique from the best in the business.

For details on both programs, visit: www.illustrationacademy.com or email ilacad@ringling.edu.
