Mandatory Health Insurance
Ringling College of Art and Design assumes no liability for the care or treatment of students needing medical attention, and the College requires all full-time and part-time (defined as 75% of full-time) students enrolled to carry health insurance. Group coverage underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA, and administered by Pearce & Pearce, Inc. will be required for any student who fails to provide proof that they are covered under a comparable comprehensive health insurance plan.
Students who have not provided proof of insurance will be billed for the policy endorsed by Ringling College. A full credit will be issued if proof of insurance is provided to the Office of Student Life within 31 calendar days of the day classes begin. Students may enroll for coverage up to 31 calendar days after the start of the fall or spring semesters. Exceptions will be made to the established enrollment periods in the event the student suffers a loss of coverage under another plan due to ineligibility.
International students will be automatically enrolled in the plan endorsed by the College unless a completed International Student Health Insurance Compliance form is received by the School following a summer mailing.
