Campus Housing Amenities

All campus living spaces are equipped with many built-in features such as:

First Year Student Housing

Student Center

This is the newest residence hall to our campus! This exciting state-of-the-art building houses not only first year residents, but important administrative offices, the fitness center, mailroom, recreational room, coffee shop and Computer Animation classrooms.

Student living spaces are located on the fourth and fifth floors of the Student Center. Each room is double occupancy and measures approximately 11 feet by 16 feet.    Rooms are carpeted and equipped with a full bathroom and shower. Students can also enjoy large student lounges in every wing to study or to hang out and meet other residents. Lounges are also used for programming by staff members living in each hall. This building was created in order to help facilitate Ringling College's living and learning philosphy. Students assigned to the Student Center are required to purchase a full meal plan.

Appleton, Harmon, and Idelson Halls

Double rooms in Appleton, Harmon and Idelson measure 15' x 16' with tile floors.

These three residence halls are located a just short walk from Hammond Commons and the Student Center.  All rooms house two residents unless there is need for three students to be in a room.  "Tripled" units occur when we have an influx in our freshman class and our space is outnumbered by our residents.  If this happens, we will work diligently to remedy the situation until each student has only one roommate.  This process usually takes two to three weeks to complete, so please be patient! There are two staff members assigned to each building (one per floor). If there is anything you need, please contact them directly for assistance. Students assigned to these residence halls are required to purchase a full meal plan.

Keating

Keating Hall has both single and double rooms located on the second and third floors of the Keating Center administration building. Keating Center also houses the President's office and will soon be the new home of Ringling's Development and Alumni offices as well.  This Residence Hall is a short distance from Hammond Commons and all of our classrooms.  Keating Hall provides our students with a unique living experience from hosting our annual Halloween Haunted House that scares those who dare to enter, to nacho nights and pizza parties. You will be able to finish your work and relax with friends at the same time.

In Keating Hall, single rooms measure approximately 10' x 10' with two slightly larger double rooms. The floors in Keating Hall are refinished hardwood.  There are laundry rooms on the second and the third floors which are coin operated. Keating Hall  has community showers and restrooms on each floor, so all residents need to be courteous as everyone on the floor uses the facilities.  Historically, one floor is female and the other male, with a Resident Assistant (RA) on each floor to answer questions and to develop programming according to their floor's styles and needs.  If you need assistance of any kind, the Resident Assistant will be happy to help. Students assigned to this hall are required to purchase a full meal plan.

Transfer Student Housing

The Cove

The Cove provides a unique living environment for incoming students.  This facility houses a majority of single and double rooms with one triple and one quad. Each room is supplied with a Microfridge (a microwave and small refrigerator). Coin operated laundry facilities are located on site for residents of this complex.

The single units in this complex have a half bath, with shared showers down the hall. All of the single units are located in the back of the complex. The double, triple, and quad rooms have full bathrooms and are located on the front side of the building.  This facility is located on the Bayou where we provide picinic tables so students may enjoy a view of the water while they work or eat.  If you are lucky, you may even spot a manatee taking his daily swim up the channel! There are two Resident Assistants located in this complex and they are ready to help their residents at any time.  At this time, students assigned to the Cove are required to purchase a meal plan.
