Digital Filmmaking
The motion picture industry has been transformed by the emergence of digital tools and techniques.
Filmmakers have new and exciting possibilities for the telling of their stories. Students learn all aspects of film production, including directing, producing, cinematography, editing, production design, screenwriting and sound design, while keeping a close focus on what makes creative cinema—the story itself. Students also learn how to combine traditional and digital techniques in pre-production, production, and post-production to develop skills required for a variety of film industry positions. In their senior year, students are part of a creative team, which completes a thesis film showcasing a mastery of filmmaking.
