Linkedin Etiquette - Think you can just use the standard LinkedIn request to connect and be successful?  Not so fast!

First, complete your own profile as far as possible. Then, take your time and do some research on LinkedIn Etiquette and requests to connect before you get denied or ignored. Remove or customize the standard request  “I’d like to add you to my professional network on LinkedIn” - and make your request authentic, polite and inviting to the recipient.

The individual you want to add to your network has most likely worked hard to develop their connections; give them a good reason to connect with you. Why are you requesting a connection or where did you meet? What do you have in common? Respect their professionalism and your own and begin your relationship on a good note!  Find out about LIONs on LinkedIn! and more.
