Fire Safety Training
This training is completed in two parts. Online training covers background information on fire safety; including fire prevention, classification of fires and rules for fighting fires. The second part of the training provides hands-on use of a fire extinguisher in a live fire situation. The live fire training is weather dependent (rain and/or wind will postpone the training session).
Who Should Participate?
Anyone who wants to understand fire safety and gain experience using a fire extinguisher.
Mandatory for employees who work around heat sources.
Mandatory for employees who may need to operate a fire extinguisher.
Technicians, Public Safety, Maintenance Staff and RA's must complete the training.
There are two types of training; one for employees and another for Resident Assistants.
