Dr. Brian J. Mistler is Associate Dean of Students and oversees a range of student life services at Ringling College of Art and Design including Health and Medical Services, The Peterson Counseling Center, Susan Palmer Fitness Center in the student union, various recreation programs, student clubs, sport, and other wellness and student life programs. Dr. Mistler is a licensed clinical psychologist by training, having received his master’s degree at the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom and Ph.D. from the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Mistler serves on the National Advisory Board for the Center for College Mental Health (CCMH), as a Principal Investigator for the Association for University and College Counseling Center Directors (AAUCCCD) national benchmarking data analysis, on the Directorate of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) Conduct and Legal Issues Commission, and on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Student Affairs Research and Practice. Brian is also an instructor for American Red Cross Emergency Mental Health staff and on the faculty of the National Association of Student Affairs Professionals (NAPSA) Legal Issues in Higher Education Certificate Program and the Medical Adjunct Faculty of Manatee Memorial Hopsital. When not in the office, Brian enjoys Sarasota's beautiful beaches and wonderful cultural opportunities.
Reenie Page is the Office Manager for Student Health Services and has been at Ringling College for 19 years. After earning her B.A. in Elementary Education from Antioch College, she worked in two private boarding schools in New England as an English teacher, librarian, and houseparent. Her professional background also includes experience as an international group travel specialist in a travel agency handling cross-cultural and educational programs. Reenie previously taught Batik and is an avid collector of student art. In her free time, she enjoys filmmaking, playing with her four grandchildren, and walking her rescue dog, Fletcher.
Daryl Hall is Ringling College's Local Service agent and the Vice President of Administration for HSA Consulting Inc. Daryl is a licensed insurance broker and also has her master’s degree in Business Administration. Daryl comes to us with over 20 years of health insurance experience of which the past 9 years have been working exclusively with student health plans. Daryl joined HSA Consulting, Inc. in 2005 when she relocated to Florida from Maryland. Prior to joining HSA Consulting, Inc. she spent eight years with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield of Maryland supporting Contracting, Provider Relations and Training as well as Compliance and Audit. Prior to CareFirst she was with Managed Home Care of Maryland, a home health agency exclusively supporting and coordinating care for CareFirst HMO members. When not in the office, Daryl enjoys traveling or spending time with family and friends.

Karin Swanson is the Senior Sales Associate for HSA Consulting, Inc. Karin has over 25 years sales experience, for the last 10 years Karin was a real estate broker in the Sarasota, Florida area. After receiving her insurance broker’s license she joined HSA Consulting, Inc. in 2013. Karin works with colleges and universities to design the best health insurance plan for their students, then helps to administer the plan and help students with the enrollment and waiver process. Karin has lived in Sarasota for 23 years and has a son who will be attending college this year. Karin and her son spend most of their time outdoors enjoying the beaches and fishing.
Sherri Levine, PA-C was born in St.Petersburg, FL, the youngest of 3 siblings, and graduated from the International Baccalaureate program at St.Petersburg High School. Sherri graduated cum laude from the University of Florida in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science and in 2008, she obtained her Master's of Medical Science from Nova Southeastern University and became a board certified physician assistant. Sherri joined the practice of Dr. Trina Espinola, Advanced ENT's of Tampa Bay and secured an additional PA position working in the Emergency Room of Bayfront Medical Center. After moving to New Jersey 4 years ago, she transitioned to full time Emergency Room medicine at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, N J. In the Fall of 2013, she moved back to Florida and has been employed in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care Centers of Sarasota Memorial Hospital before her new position here at the Ringling College of Art & Design's Student Health Center. When not working, Sherri is spending time with her husband, Lucas, their 2 young sons, Drew and Jack, and their beloved Goldendoodle, Maggie. Her hobbies include photography, traveling, and baking.
Tekeysha McCloud, CMA

Melanie Stawkey is the Coordinator of Recreation and Wellness. She received her Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. She also holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She oversees the Susan Palmer Fitness Center, as well as recreational and wellness activities both on and off campus. She is also certified to teach Red Cross First Aid, CPR & AED and is a NIRSA Sustainability Ambassador. Her personal interests include biking, music, and exploring the outdoors.
Nancy Long, LMHC serves as an Associate Director of Counseling and holds a Florida Mental Health Counselor License. She has 23 years of college counseling experience with prior work in the area of Domestic Violence, Rape and Substance Abuse. She completed her undergraduate degree in Social Work at the University of Pittsburgh and her Masters in Humanistic Psychology at West Georgia. Her theoretical orientation is eclectic drawing from psychodynamic, experiential, systems and existential frameworks. Nancy incorporates cognitive-behavioral, guided imagery, and gestalt techniques in her clinical work with students. Her professional interests include trauma recovery and mindfulness training. She enjoys meditation, traveling, being in nature, dance, spending time with family, friends and her dog.
Dr. Ken Mroz is Associate Director of Counseling and a staff therapist at the Peterson Counseling Center. He received his doctorate in Family Psychology, from the Union Institute and University, Cincinnati Ohio, his Master of Social Work from Adelphi University, Garden City Long Island, NY. Dr. Mroz specializes in individual, group, and couples therapy; crisis and anger management, anxiety/depression and stress management. His interests also include, program development, outreach work, diversity issues; substance abuse treatment and prevention. He uses an eclectic therapeutic approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Enhancement and Solution Focused Therapy techniques to achieve positive outcomes for student to support their academic success and foster their retention. His personal interests include travel, sports, scuba diving, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson.
Nancy I. Zlatkin, Psy.D. is an Associate Director of Counseling and Staff Therapist in the Peterson Counseling Center. She received her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. She provides both individual and group psychotherapy in addition to couples counseling. Her theoretical orientation is 3rd wave cognitive-behavioral, with an integration of interpersonal, solution-focused and positive psychology interventions. Her professional interests include trauma recovery, identity development, sexual and gender diversity, personality disorders, and outreach program development. Through a collaborative, holistic approach, Dr. Zlatkin emphasizes the resilience and strengths of each individual to maximize one’s potential, and overall well-being.
Dr. d'Angelo, M.D. is a psychiatrist available to students on-campus in our student Health Center. Dr. d'Angelo is graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill and received her undergraduate degree at Barnard College/Columbia University in NYC. She has enjoyed a career in public psychiatry serving on the faculties of Vanderbilt University and Oregon Health and Science University where she was the psychiatrist for Oregon's Department of Human Services providing state-wide consultation and training in Development Disorders and Mental Health. She has also had the good fortune to work overseas in New Zealand.
Michael Mariano coordinates case management and electronic resources for on- and off-campus visits with our psychiatrist and University Behavioral Health.
Dr. Shaun Dumas, A.P., D.O.M., is a Florida State licensed and nationally certified Acupuncture Physician and professor of Chinese medicine, teaching at East West College of Natural Medicine. In her private practice, she is dedicated to employing safe, effective treatments, based on the teachings of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Dr. Shaun’s prior company, Acupuncture Healing Center, LLC has won numerous awards over the past 11 years as best acupuncture clinic and best weight loss program. With the use of acupuncture, herbology, homeopathy, Acupuncture Point Injection Therapy and/or essential oils, she brings about the natural healing and harmonization of the body with great results.

Amanda Bilyk is a student of Chinese Medicine at East West College of Natural Medicine. She has a dual degree B.A. in Sociology and Anthropology with a minor in Spanish from Warren Wilson College in North Carolina. She spent nearly 10 years working in counseling and alternative therapies for survivors of emotional and psychological trauma. She also concurrently dedicated 5 of those years working with international organizations advocating for human rights. Before coming to Sarasota, she lived in the Peruvian Andes for three years where she studied indigenous medicine and cosmology with traditional doctors. Her hope is to return to Latin America after graduation and continue working in underprivileged communities.
The Susan Palmer Fitness Center Staff consists of front desk workers who assist patrons in the fitness center as well as group exercise instructors who teach classes such as yoga and zumba.
Alek Dante Betancourt, a Fitness Center Student Supervisor is an American-Colombian senior Illustration major from Miami. He’s best known for his metaphysical paintings & sculptures with dream worlds, monsters, psychedelic colors, and his occasional cute yet sassy/dry humored cartoons. Outside of the arts he loves Mexican food, taking absurdly long daytime naps after being a nightowl, and spending time with his beloved boa constrictors, Carl and Nagini. He hopes to open his own line of apparel, work for a creative company, illustrate novels, and continue his fine art projects on the side.
Tyler Keshner serves as a Fitness Center Student Supervisor and is a senior illustration major at Ringling’s Susan Palmer Fitness Center. Tyler has worked at the Fitness Center for two years and really enjoys being apart of the crew. He has an interest in Visual Development and would like to go further with that after he graduates in May 2015. Just this past summer, Tyler spent 3 months at Hasbo Inc. Toy Company, where he worked with the design team for Star Wars. There he helped design new toy concepts for the New Star Wars Episode VII coming out in December 2015. Tyler hopes to keep the high standard of the Fitness Center to its full capability and continue to be a positive influence and role model to other employees, friends, and family.
