The Crossley Gallery is pleased to announce the first Junior Exhibition of the Spring semester. Opening March 2, 2015, Natural Connections features a selection of work by Muriel Holloway and Patricia Thompson.
Created through a union of intuitive selection processes and sculptural fabrication, the assemblages and constructed forms of Natural Connections create tension in the search for resolution between the past and present. By arranging fragile materials such as glass, wax, and ephemeral objects from nature within the framework of minimal geometry and simplified domestic iconography, Holloway and Thompson's works examine familial relationships and personal attachments.
2015 Annual Best of Ringling Student Exhibitions, April 10-18, 2015
Crossley Gallery is a student-operated gallery established by the Fine Arts Department in 1999 to showcase the talent of Ringling College students. The gallery experience provides the students an opportunity to learn the challenges of exhibition planning, scheduling, and installation.
