"The journey of self-discovery and storytelling is often a very personal and challenging one for many photography students that involves developing artistic strategies for dealing with the many complex issues of representation. If pictures are everywhere, there is a need for students to become even more thoughtful about what they do and how they edit. We are in a time where social engagement, documentary, editorial and artistic approaches are all important and meaningful strategies for a young photographer. The work seen here by the Ringling College and Sint Lucas College alumni, illustrates the personal choices each of these young artists have made in their encounters with a diverse collection of subjects."
