Distinguished as Sarasota's premier gallery for contemporary visual arts, Ringling College's Selby Gallery is a professional on-campus exhibition space that serves as both a center of learning and hub of extracurricular activity. The 3,000-square-foot Gallery presents major exhibitions by nationally and internationally celebrated artists, designers, illustrators and photographers from diverse cultural backgrounds as well as provide community programming in the
form of lectures, forums, panel discussions, and performing arts events.
In addition, the world-renowned Ringling College faculty, as well as the students they teach, present their creative skills in the yearly faculty show and Best of Ringling annual Ringling College juried student exhibition.
Other Campus Galleries and Community Art Classes and Workshops
Ulla Searing Center’s Exhibition Hall
displays student work, hosts receptions, events and conferences.
Hammond Commons
where the campus community can eat and converse displays the work of students.
Keating Center’s Patricia Thompson Gallery
hosts exhibitions of alumni work.
Goldstein Center
displays the recent work of Digital Filmmaking majors on enormous flat screens.
Kimbrough Library
displays the work of faculty and alumni as well as works from its permanent collection.
Outdoor Sculpture
can be found primarily in the heart of the campus north and south of 27th Street and 41.
Crossley Gallery
is directed by senior Fine Arts majors and primarily displays the work of Fine Arts majors.
The Basch and Willis Smith Galleries display work by students, faculty, alumni and other contemporary artists.
Off Campus Exhibition Spaces
The Englewood Art Center (1 hour south of campus) and the Longboat Key Art Center (45 minutes NW of campus) are Divisions of Ringling College. They each have a schedule of exhibitions that focus on their communities as well as the work of Ringling College alumni, faculty and students.
