Ringling College of Art and Design graduate Amber Martorelli was featured in Sunday's Art Section of the Herald-Tribune for her contributions to popular Disney's Pixar animated films.

Martorelli has most recently worked on such films as "Ratatouille," which received a 2007 Acadamey Award for Best Animated Feature Film, and the newly released "WALL*E", which opened to rave reviews this past Friday.

As part of her job, Martorelli studies how people or animals move and then animates them based on how they will use these characteristics in the movie.  While her work can take 10-12 months per each project, overall it can take Pixar four years from concept to release date to complete each film.
