    Ringling Fine Arts Students Participate in Community Mental Health Project
    March 30, 2011 - Ringling College Fine Arts students and Department Head Kim Russo participated in a community project, organized by the Sarasota Partnership for Children's Mental Health, in which 16 local Sarasota artists made portraits of four local families that are dealing with mental and behavioral disabilities. 

    Along with Fine Arts Department Head Kim Russo, the three Fine Arts students who participated in the project are:

    Jenny Vu, '10 Fine Arts and 2010 Fine Arts Trustee Scholar

    Sarah Valdez, '10 Fine Arts

    Alicia Stein, '12 Fine Arts


    Local filmmaker, Brad Brian, made a documentary about the project, which was selected as a feature for the 2011 Sarasota Film Festival.

    The film will be shown twice during the festival.  The times are:
    Saturday, April 9, 6:30 pm
    Monday, April 11, 6:00 pm
