Society of Illustrators Accepts 18 Ringling College Pieces to the 2011 Student Scholarship Competition
February 14, 2011 -The Society of Illustrators has chosen 18 works from Ringling College students for admission into this year's Society of Illustrators Student Scholarship Competition.
Ringling College once again has one of the highest number of illustrations accepted into the program. This year, 14 students were selected and a total of 18 pieces accepted. In the last four years, 99 Ringling College student works have been awarded this prestigious honor - more than any other college or university in the entire United States!

About the Society of Illustrators
According to the Society, the Student Scholarship Competition is the most competitive and prestigious of juried shows. Since its inception in 1981, the Society has awarded more than $1.5 million to deserving students. Selected by a celebrated jury, this exhibit features the most mature, sophisticated and well crafted illustration of the year from art schools around the country.
