Ringling College Advertising Design Graduate Wins National Silver Student ADDY Award
June 9, 2013 - Ringling College alumnus Josh Woolbert, a 2013 Advertising Design graduate, won a National Silver Student ADDY Award for his newspaper campaign "Löwensenf Extra," which was presented during the American Advertising Federations national conference AdAmerica this past Saturday, June 8, in Phoenix, Arizona. Josh's fellow Ad Design classmate and 2013 alumnus Rick St Louis was the photographer for the campaign.
The ADDY® Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from media of all types, creative by all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere in the world. The competition features both professional and student award categories and received nearly 50,000 entries this year.
Josh's winning work was part of an assignment to create a campaign for an international product targeting American consumers. His inspiration for "Löwensenf Extra" was to make German foods that have become Americanized taste German again.
Josh is interning this summer in New York City at The Bull-White House and Rick is also in the Big Apple interning at Tribal DDB Worldwide.
Congratulations to Josh, Rick and the entire Advertising Design faculty for this incredible honor!
