This department serves as a health and wellness resource for students and the entire campus community providing quality outreach education on all aspects of wellness. We play an integral part in promoting responsible decision making and positive lifestyle choices.

Our staff and student volunteers are committed to help people make informed, voluntary, health promoting behavior changes. The services shown below are ways we reach this goal:

REACH:

Ringling Educating About Campus Health is a student-led effort, in which college students receive the opportunity to learn about important health matters from a group of well-trained and highly dedicated Peer Health Educators.

REACH is a campus affiliate of the BACCHUS Network-- the national Peer Education Network. BACCHUS Network™ is a university and community based network focusing on comprehensive health and safety initiatives. As a non-profit organization, its mission is to actively promote student and young adult based, campus and community-wide leadership on healthy and safe lifestyle decisions concerning alcohol abuse, tobacco use, illegal drug use, unhealthy sexual practices and other high-risk behaviors. 

WELLNESS RESOURCE CENTER:

The Susan Palmer Fitness Center contains wellness resources, including brochures, newsletters, and videos on a wide variety of health-related topics. Located in the Fitness Center, it is a great place to find out information about a health concerns or related topics.

SMOKING CESSATION:

Quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do for your health, and if you want to try a new method to make a permanent change, programs are available through our department. WALKING ROUTES:

Walking is one of the best exercises you can do for getting and staying in shape.
