Two new state of the art buildings with fresh ideas for student development and living-learning are now completed.
Our new five-story Ulla Searing Student Center opened in the fall of 2006. Destined to be a dynamic environment for learning, living, and creating, the new Searing Student Center provides 80,000 square feet of additional office, classroom, and residential space.
The first floor houses the Office of Admissions, the Susan Palmer Fitness Center [complete with locker rooms and shower facilities] and dance/exercise studio, the Diane Roskamp Exhibition Hall and Outtakes Cafe.
The second floor houses the Office of Financial Aid, the Bursar's Office, the Office of Student Life, the Center for Career Services, the Academic Resource Center, and contains a variety of conference rooms, student meeting spaces, a media room, and more!
The third floor is home to the Department of Computer Animation including classrooms for Traditional and 3D Animation and Game Art and Design, as well as faculty offices, and open computer labs.
Floors four and five house 96 students. Each residence includes a private shower/bathroom. On each floor there are two laundry room facilities and three student lounges.
Completed in the fall of 2009, Ann & Alfred Goldstein Hall, a five-story, 75,000 square-foot residence hall houses 228 students and is designed to meet the unique needs of creative students.
The ground floor features a spacious and colorful lounge and recreation area known as the Fishbowl—a large multi-purpose area for activities and events. The Department of Residence Life, Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development, and the Student Mail Room are also located on this floor.
The four floors above it each feature 26 residential rooms, project rooms for large-scale art projects, laundry and study rooms and a warming kitchen.
These exciting new spaces are dedicated to the academic, professional, and social development of all Ringling College students and have successfully created additional opportunities for collaboration between students, faculty, and staff.
