In the event of severe weather, all students will be alerted by the Residential Life staff with instructions on how to prepare for a hurricane. Residents should make their own personal safety and/or evacuation plan, depending on their individual circumstances. Contact phone numbers for housing information are (941) 359-7616 or (941) 309-1963 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 941-359-7500 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m.
Evacuation of Ringling College residence halls, apartments and houses will be managed depending on the severity of the hurricane. If an evacuation is ordered, students would need to leave campus and go to a safe alternative location away from the storm. Students that do not have an alternative location will be transported to a designated area shelter.
Students are requested to check the Ringling College Web Site and their email for the latest College operations information and to monitor local media for storm advisories and weather related information.
