You may notice that times, they are a-changin’. This is nothing new. We’ve watched the Agricultural, Industrial, and Technological Ages shape the world around us. Now, Ringling College is the driving force behind the newest era: the Creative Age.

What is it? It’s an era in which the practical skill sets we’ve come to rely upon are no longer enough. Success demands creative thinking to use our progress and technologies in different ways to solve new and lasting problems.

For 88 years, Ringling College has been redefining art and design education and shaping the world’s most critical thinkers, doers, and leaders. So, we came up with 88 reasons why the College – and creative education – matters. These reasons are everywhere, from billboards to magazines, on screens, and hidden in pages of our site. How many can you find?

Dr. Larry R. Thompson, President of Ringling College, saw the increasingly important role artists, designers, and creative thinkers play in the success of businesses and endeavors today. Creativity is now the common thread that weaves together the fabric of any successful initiative.
