Learn the fundamentals of drawing from life while challenging your ability to see the human figure. Students will develop their representational drawing skills while working with techniques to establish depth, create fields of value, and direct the viewer's focus. Emphasis will be on rendering the human form with gesture, contour, line, and value.

Develop your drawing techniques and improve your design skills in this exploration of the landscape. Emphasis will be placed on basic design principles, value, perspective, texture, and shadows. Students will learn to create broad-stroke drawings with clearly rendered shapes, values, and points of interest.

Explore the fundamentals of line drawing with pen and ink. Emphasis will be placed on pen stroke techniques to produce form, texture, shape, value, and points of interest. Experiment with hatching, contouring, and stippling techniques. Strengthen your drawing skills while discovering the versatility of this fast, indelible medium.
