Wendy Thurlow is an award winning art jeweler who studied her craft in Philadelphia at the University of the Arts. In 1999 she received a BFA in Metals. She continued her education with intense internships and weeklong jewelry workshops.
Wendy has been producing her own one-of-kind and limited edition jewelry for over 15 years. She incorporates techniques such as forging, acid etching, and various surface embellishments to give her jewelry texture and depth. Wendy's jewelry is organic and sculptural. Her primary focus has been the use of mixed metals with semiprecious stones, fossils and found objects. Her eye for composition and attraction to form and design enable her to create jewelry of a distinct style.
Wendy exhibits her work nationally, has many private collectors internationally, and has been an exhibitor at local art festivals. In addition to her studio work, Wendy is passionate about teaching the art of metal and instructs various levels of jewelry making classes.
