JEWELRY DESIGN (FOUNDATION)

This class is geared towards both new and returning students.  You will learn the basic techniques necessary to create your own jewelry or improve on skills that you currently have.  You will receive step by step instruction as you work on the class assignment to create a variety of wearable works of art.  Some of the techniques that you will learn will be soldering, stone setting, construction, problem solving and finishing.  Materials are purchased during each class.  Please wear closed toe shoes.  Beginner to Intermediate skills.

Create complex forms as you build on the skills that you already have. We will make a variety of pieces from pendants and earrings to bangles and cuff bracelets. You will learn advanced techniques to create complex volumetric forms. We will set stones, forge metal and learn stick soldering in this fun and dynamic class. Class projects will be assigned as you follow along with instruction given by a professional jeweler. Materials are purchased during each class. Please wear closed toe shoes. All skill levels welcome.

Use our professional jewelry studio as your own, as you work to complete your jewelry projects or create new ones. Students are encouraged to push their creative vision and to think outside the box when approaching design and fabrication. Bring a sketchbook, inspirational images, and your imagination. Intermediate to Advanced.
