Marlene Rose’s hand-cast sculptures are innovative works of art celebrating the wondrous qualities of glass, translucent or opaque, thick or thin, clear or colored, molded or shaped.  Marlene skillfully plays with every characteristic of her versatile medium.  Although her process is based on ancient bronze-casting techniques, her methods and results are contemporary, often incorporating hand-cast metals.  Marlene is internationally represented at galleries and museums, and is sought after by private collectors and celebrities.  This exhibition will run concurrently with glass exhibitions at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL.  Please call 941.383.2345 for more details.
