Bruce Bachmann is a Chicagoland philanthropist and real estate developer/investor. Wintering in Florida for the past 30 years, Bruce’s interests in the arts has drawn him to the Sarasota Museum of Art. Bruce and his wife, Ann, have amassed an extensive studio glass collection, both in Glencoe, IL and Sarasota.
Whether in Sarasota or Chicago, Bruce champions causes he holds close. He sits on the Boards of the Sarasota Museum of Art, Pilchuck Glass School, Racine Art Museum, Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass, Israel Children’s Centers, and the Jewish Community Centers in Chicago, Polk Bros. Foundation, Roosevelt University, and Chicago’s Jazz Ensemble of Columbia University. Bruce is the past president of AACG, ICC, and JCC. He is currently serving as the chair of the Board of Govenors of the Chicago Jazz Ensemble.
