Film students need perspective beyond the classroom. For this reason, the Digital Filmmaking Department invites industry professionals to visit Ringling and share their knowledge and experience. Past guests of the program have included filmmakers from around the country including director Spike Lee, editor and producer Bob Duscay, director Jennifer Sharp, and producer Tom Garrett, among many others.

On October 3rd, 2008 the Department of Digital Filmmaking had the fortunate opportunity to meet and converse with Bob Duscay, a well-known editor and producer who has worked on such films as "The Mummy" and "Van Helsing".

In October of 2007, the Digital Filmmaking Department was proud to welcome Spike Lee to the Van Wezel Auditorium in Sarasota.  Students were able to talk with Mr. Lee in person after he spoke about his filmmaking career.
