From the simplest floor plan created with computer-aided drafting to the most complex renderings and virtual environments, you’ll design with the latest technology used by the profession. A dedicated computer lab in the Department of Interior Design is equipped with the same software used in the industry.
The resource room contains literally thousands of samples to inspire choices in color, texture, and surfaces for the spaces you create. In the lighting lab, you’ll explore how different types of light affect and enhance your designs, and others’ perceptions of them. Most interior design seniors leave campus in the spring semester to pursue internship opportunities with design and architectural firms around the nation, gaining valuable workplace experience.
