Barbara Marini, B.A., M.S., Sp.A.
Michigan State University (Interior Design); Eastern Michigan University (Interior Design); Eastern Michigan University (Educational Leadership).  Currently a doctoral candidate in Eastern Michigan University’s College of Education, Leadership and Counseling Center for Creative Leadership, Ms. Marini has been an active interior design educator in the capacity of Department Head at the International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT) in Troy, MI, teaching in both the interior design and construction management and design programs. She successfully led the interior design program twice through the CIDA accreditation process. Barbara has been engaged in design education for nearly 20 years, including developing curricula, program assessment, and educational training materials for students and faculty. Her academic experience includes Department Chair of the Interior Design Department at College for Creative Studies, where she restructured the curriculum and adjunct teaching positions at Eastern Michigan University, Baker College of Auburn Hills, and the Art Institute of Michigan. She has also served on several program advisory committees and is currently a curriculum consultant at the Boston Architectural College in the Masters of Design Studies degree program.

Ms. Marini is a professional member of ASID, IDEC, professional affiliate of AIA, and an NCIDQ Certificate holder. She is the Past National President of ASID, participant in future visioning sessions and is leading the current strategic plan process, guiding the organization in a new direction. She has participated in the design profession on a national and international level and been recognized with several awards in both academics and design, including the prestigious Joel Polsky Award, Graduate Student of the Year, Faculty Advisor of the Year, Carole Price Shanis Award, and Fellow of the Society. Barbara is a frequent speaker on design related issues and participates in professional and student activities.

Jill Eleazer, B.D. 

University of Florida, College of Architecture (Interior Design). Jill's designs have been published in Florida ArchitectureAudio Video InteriorsOn Design and Interiors and Sources. In 1999, she won the IIDA Forum Award - State of Florida, for the Stetson University Information Services Center.

Ryan Hansen, B.A., M.F.A.

University of New Hampshire (Art History/Architectural Studies); Savannah College of Art and Design (Interior Design). Past work experience: Graduate Teaching Assistant at SCAD; Interior Designer at Perkins+Will; Associate at Heery International. Ryan has performed multidisciplinary design and project management during all phases of corporate, commercial, judicial, and health care renovations and new construction projects. Clients include the Lakeland Regional Medical Center, the Medical College of Georgia, Turner Entertainment, and The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and has received Certification from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. Ryan is also a Professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). He was the recipient of the Mason Conners scholarship for excellence in Interior Design and placed first in the Multidisciplinary Design Charette Competition at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Seongwoo Nam, B.Arch, M.Arch
Department Coordinator

Iowa State University (Architecture); University of Oklahoma (Architecture). Taught as a graduate assistant and adjunct at the University of Oklahoma in the Division of Interior Design. Has worked professionally in the architectural design field in the United States and Korea and has served as the Department Coordinator since Fall 2003.

Works exhibited in group and solo shows throughout Florida, Georgia, Virginia, New Jersey and New York. Recipient of numerous awards and grants.
