Society of Illustrators Accepts 21 from Ringling College Into Student Competition

Ringling College of Art and Design remains the top performing college in history in the Society of Illustrators’ Annual Student Scholarship Competition. This year, 21 entries from Ringling College were accepted into the exhibition. One student, Holly Lavigne, won a $500 scholarship for her work "Girl at the Desk," which is in memory of Helen Wohlberg Lambert, Meg Wohlberg, and Herman Lambert.

Over 2,290 students participated, representing over 86 colleges and universities throughout the U.S. and Canada. A jury of professional peers, including illustrators and art directors, selected the most outstanding works created throughout the year.  Pieces are accepted based on the quality of technique, concept and skill of medium used.

Since 2008, Ringling College has had a total of 236 winning pieces accepted into the competition – more than any other college!
