Continuing Studies


Continuing Studies offers non-credit classes, workshops, and lectures to students of all ages and skill levels. You can pick up a course or workshop once in a while during our spring, summer, and fall semesters, or enroll in a Certificate Program for deeper exposure to your field of interest. Pick and choose your level of engagement, and join a community of artists and designers seeking to enhance their personal and professional creativity.

Englewood Art Center

A Division of Ringling College of Art and Design

Tucked away in the Englewood, FL, the Englewood Art Center (EAC) fosters the appreciation, education, and discovery of art and design among the communities of South Sarasota County. Stop in to enjoy our four galleries of exhibitions, or become a Member and submit work of your own. Not yet an artist? Longboat Key Center for the Arts

The Longboat Key Center for the Arts (LBKCA) is located in the scenic, historic Longbeach Village on the northern tip of Longboat Key, FL. A breathtaking retreat for visitors both local and visiting, LBKCA brings exhibitions, classes, lectures, concerts, and events that parallel and reflect the quality of Ringling College. Attend an exhibition opening or artist talk to discover work by both local and regional artists and those from around the globe. Learn new skills or build on your existing knowledge by taking a class in painting, drawing, photography, or jewelry making. And meet a community of artists, patrons, and enthusiasts to help you expand your mind and reach your creative potential.

Lifelong Learning Academy

Make Learning Last a Lifetime

The Lifelong Learning Academy brings over 17 years of expertise serving thousands of students through its distinct learning programs. We offer four terms per year. Each course lasts for six to eight weeks, and, though there are some variations, most classes meet for one hour and twenty minutes per week.

The mission of the Academy is to enrich the lives of mature adults in Sarasota and Manatee counties by providing affordable and outstanding educational and social interaction programs that cover a broad spectrum of topics and are rich in intellectual stimulation, often interactive in scope, and worthy of academic consideration.
