The winners of the 2016 Ringling College Creative Awards were announced this week. This year's contest for 9th through 12th grade high school students was based around developing a concept for a theme park attraction or museum exhibition based on a movie, book, song or original idea. This national competition is intended to help students in grades 9-12 meet the challenge of communicating through a variety of media in this new century and was designed to be integrated into teachers' current curriculum for classroom assignments or submitted by individuals.
This year, three students won all expense paid trips to Universal Studios; one received a full scholarship to the Ringling College PreCollege program for high school students; one received a Wacom cintiq companion 2 tablet. 16 other students received runner-up prizes.
