The Associate Dean of Students, Coordinators of Residence Life, Coordinator of Student Activities as well as upper-class student Resident Assistants [RA's] live in residence and work together to create the most comfortable, supportive and responsive living environment possible. Students can contact them anytime if they need assistance.
Chris Shaffer, Associate Dean of Students
As an Associate Dean of Students, Mr. Shaffer oversees the Residence Life and Mail Services departments on campus. He has been serving the Ringling community for many years.
JJ Mitchell, Coordinator of Residence Life for Housing Operations
JJ did his graduate work at Bucknell University in the M.S. Education: College Student Personnel Program. He got his undergraduate degree in Business at Centenary College in New Jersey. JJ’s main responsibilities are to coordinate the Business Operations of the Department of Residence Life, including Room Selection, Key Management, Contracting, and Conferences. JJ lives on campus and shares in the On-Call Duty Rotation for Student Life.
Tiffany Bartlett, Coordinator of Residence Life for Staff Development and Programming
Tiffany received her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel from Kent State University in Kent, OH. She also received her B.A. in Psychology with a double minor in Special Education and Deaf Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana, PA. Tiffany’s main responsibilities are to oversee the Resident Assistant (RA) student staff members, is responsible for the living/learning experience of resident students through hall activities with the RAs to ensure that a sense of community is being built, and work with the PreCollege Resident Assistants over the summer. Tiffany lives on campus and shares in the On-Call Duty rotation for Student Life.
