Women Contemporary Artists (WCA) is a group of more than one hundred women artists committed to the goal of encouraging each other and promoting each other’s work. Our mission is to provide visibility, encouragement and inspiration to women artists.
WCA originated in 1984 from the vision of twenty charter members, committed to fostering recognition of women’s accomplishments and contributions to the visual fine arts. WCA’s many activities include juried member exhibitions, programs, critique and an annual artists’ retreat. WCA presents annual Scholarship Awards to outstanding women art students who choose to continue their fine arts education.
