Certificate Programs of Study
Ringling College Certificate Programs provide fundamental courses of study for adult students interested in comprehensive professional development or personal enrichment in a contemporary creative discipline.
Ideal for adults interested in investigating new methods, media and ideas, revitalizing current skills, and creating portfolios for education exhibition purposes, these programs introduce students to processes and practices essential to their success.
Certificate programs are comprised of a chronological series of non-credit required Continuing Studies courses that are identified to deliver the skills needed for that discipline. Each program also includes electives. To encourage an interdisciplinary approach in creative practice, all adult Continuing Studies courses are eligible electives for all certificate programs.
Programs includes courses at the introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels, and may take tow-to-four years to complete at a rate of one to two courses per semester, based on course and student availability. Courses are offered days, evenings, and weekends during the fall and spring semesters as well as in summer workshops and annual retreats.
Certificate students enjoy access to Ringling College's numerous galleries and Kimbrough Library's vast collection of contemporary art and design resources and research support.
Certificate Programs are offered in the following disciplines:
- Book Arts
- Digital Graphics
- General Studies in Fine Arts
