Ringling College studio and course work is supported and enhanced by the galleries and exhibition spaces around campus and in the community. All galleries are free of charge and open to the public.

Whether you’re a student, an aspiring artist or designer, or an arts enthusiast, we encourage you to expand your perspective and inspire your own voice by exploring our ever-changing rotation of exhibitions, engaging with our student-run galleries, and attending campus talks delivered by visiting artists and curators.

Richard & Barbara Basch Gallery

The Richard & Barbara Basch Gallery hosts an array of exhibitions featuring the work of professional artists and designers working in every media. Every year, the Basch Gallery exhibits a selection of studio glass art from the unrivaled collection of Richard & Barbara Basch, comprised of over 270 pieces from the greatest glass artists working around the globe today. 

Located on the first floor of the Larry R. Thompson Academic Center.

Willis Smith Galleries

The Willis A. Smith Construction Inc. Gallery hosts rotating exhibitions of contemporary art by internationally acclaimed artists, as well as annual exhibitions of work by Ringling students, faculty, staff and community arts organizations.

Located on the ground floor of the Larry R. Thompson Academic Center.
2363 Old Bradenton Road.
Summer Hours: Monday - Friday, 10am–4pm

 

Christ-Janer Gallery

This professional gallery serves as exhibition space for the Ringling College Illustration Department’s students, faculty, and visiting artists.

Located in the Christ-Janer Illustration Center. 
Closed for Summer.

 

Patricia Thompson Gallery

This exhibition space displays the extraordinary work of Ringling College alumni working in the Sarasota community and beyond. Follow the evolution of their work from student to professional.

Located in the entrance of the historic Keating Center building.
Summer Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am­–4pm

 

Crossley Gallery

Our second student-run gallery on campus, Crossley Gallery features the work of our talented Fine Art Students.

Located in the Crossley building off Old Bradenton Road.

MadeBy Gallery


Market and sell your work through our professional retail space!


Madeby is the exclusive on-campus gallery for current student and alumni to show and sell their work. You can participate in a group exhibition or submit for sale your one-of-a-kind and limited edition works, including: fine art, photography, prints, posters, greeting cards, original paintings, screen-printed clothing and other wearables, published books, jewelry, handmade sketch books, toys, glass, pottery, sculpture, furniture and more! This is a great way to meet other Ringling alumni and artists, gain exposure and a local following, and practice marketing and selling your work. 

Visit us in the main entry of the Ulla Searing building on Ringling Campus.

Off-Campus Galleries


Longboat Key Center for the Arts

Nestled on the north end of scenic Longboat Key, the Longboat Key Center for the Arts hosts four major exhibitions a year in our professional Durante Gallery, Cultural Media Room, and Cultural Corridor, bringing the work of locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally acclaimed artists to the community. To complement and amplify our exhibition schedule, we also program related artist lectures, panel discussions, film screenings, and presentations.

Galleries are open Tuesday-Friday, 11am - 5pm.
Open to the public, free of charge.

 

Englewood Art Center

The Englewood Art Center, located in Englewood, FL, features four distinct gallery spaces: the Ken Mitchell Gallery displaying invitational exhibitions, the Warren Loranger Gallery dedicated to community artists, the Members Gallery for the work of EAC member artists, and the Mangrove Sales Gallery for the work of our talented Florida artists. We host accompanying artist talks, lectures, and open houses to engage the community and invite discussion.

Wednesday-Saturday, 9am - 4pm
