Learn about the FAFSA and why it is important.
Different financial aid opportunities are available to help accepted students pay for their Ringling College education.
The various financial aid opportunities available include scholarships and grants, federal and private loans, campus jobs, and Federal Student Aid. Students are considered for Ringling College scholarships once they submit their application and art portfolio. Federal Student Aid and federal loans are considered once families complete the FAFSA online.
Applying for Federal Student Aid
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Many families who fail to submit a FAFSA mistakenly think they do not qualify for aid and prevent themselves from possibly receiving additional financial aid. There are a few sources of aid such as the Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan and the Federal Parent PLUS Loan that are available regardless of need.
Submitting the FAFSA is free, and your information is confidential. Ringling College requires a two-step process for initiating the financial aid request for all programs administered by the Office of Financial Aid.
- Apply for admission to Ringling College.
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with the U.S. Department of Education.
The Title IV code for Ringling College, which designates the College as a recipient of the processed information, is 012574.
Submission Deadlines
The FAFSA is available online by Oct. 1 each year. The FAFSA should be submitted after Oct. 1 using information from the prior year’s federal taxes.
Review the current FAFSA dates and deadlines to ensure eligibility.
Net Price Calculator We invite you to use our net price calculator to estimate your potential costs and awards. Use the calculator if you are a prospective, full-time student to estimate your tuition and fees; grants and scholarships; and federal grants and loans.
FAFSA Process
After your FAFSA is submitted and processed online, you will receive your Student Aid Report (SAR) from a central processing agent. Ringling College will receive an electronic file directly from the U.S. Department of Education, which will then be used to process your financial aid. This is not an automatic process and can take a few days.
Financial Aid Notification Letters are mailed or emailed as soon as the financial aid review process has been completed. Financial Aid Office typically starts communications to students about two weeks after the acceptance letter is sent, then students can continue to View your Financial Aid Awards by logging into NetPartner.

Financial aid applications may be selected by the Department of Education for a process called verification. Ringling College of Art and Design is pleased to announce we have established a partnership with Inceptia to expedite the federal verification process for Ringling College of Art and Design. Verification Gateway (VG) from Inceptia is an online portal to guide students and parents through verification.
If your FAFSA application is selected for verification by the U.S Department of Education, you will receive an email from VGCS@inceptia.org, or postcard from Inceptia, containing Ringling College of Art and Design’s unique website link to start the verification process.
We encourage you to begin the verification process within seven days of receiving notification from Verification Gateway to ensure you receive your financial aid in time for payments. Failure to complete the verification process could result in the delay or denial of your financial aid.
Follow these steps to complete your verification.
- Access our school’s unique website link in the email from VGCS@inceptia.org or listed below.
- Create your account* and choose preferences for text messages and e-signatures.
