Ringling College’s premier fundraising event of the year
Ringling College of Art and Design’s annual fundraiser Avant-Garde is committed to raising funds for student scholarships. The scholarships bridge the gap between the cost of a college education and the resources of the college student. Education and success go hand in hand. But what if a deserving student misses the opportunity to become a successful entrepreneur, filmmaker, teacher, or artist due to financial constraints?
Scholarships empower students to pursue their dreams, motivate them to aim high, encourage them to pay it forward, and prepare them for a lifetime of achievement. More than 90% of Ringling College students qualify for need and merit-based support, and most could not attend without scholarship assistance.
All of the proceeds from Ringling College’s annual Golf Tournament and Avant-Garde celebrations support student scholarships at Ringling College. Together, we can continue to transform the lives of these aspiring artists and designers.
2025 Event
Pop Culture Icons
Break out your tracksuits and fanny packs—it’s time to honor Ringling College of Art and Design’s students at the annual Avant-Garde gala while celebrating your favorite moments of pop culture. Look to the past or present for inspiration: Marilyn Monroe and Taylor Swift, The Godfather and Harry Potter. Babe Ruth and Michael Jordan. We have planned an evening of fun, food, and entertainment, including an extraordinary dining experience with drinks, desserts, and dancing!
You’ll have plenty of opportunities for selfies—and maybe even become the next big influencer—as we honor the true trendsetters, our students.

Lights, Camera, Action!
The 2024 Avant-Garde event on Saturday, March 16, was one of the highest-grossing fundraising events to date. This year, they celebrated cinema classics and backstage movie magic with Lights Camera Action!, with more than 430 guests in attendance. The 2024 event launched the INDEX (Industry Experience) project, Make Your Mark, a series of art objects/bottles donated by Maker’s Mark distillery and designed and transformed by Ringling College students, faculty, and alumni. The event was co-chaired by Carol and Richard Kalikow and Katherine and Frank Martucci.
