Share your stories in this BFA program.

Explore the evolution of today’s photographic industry. Commercial or conceptual, moving or still, learn the secrets to success in many photographic fields.

Our Photography school builds on the tradition of analog film processing and darkroom printing, followed by experimentation with digital photography, large-scale printing, moving images and video, and even installation. Learn artificial and natural lighting, gain technical proficiency, and get hands-on studio experience in both fine arts photography and commercial-based practices. Courses in documentary, studio, editorial, and portraiture-style photography build diverse skill sets, all while you pursue your own approach to storytelling and communication through the photographic lens.

Every year our students compete to spend one year studying at ICP, the world’s leading institution dedicated to the practice and understanding of photography. The selected students have a unique opportunity to participate in the General Studies Program there that exposes them to world-renowned faculty, challenging ideas and a diverse group of international students. Currently Ringling College is one of only three undergraduate programs in the country to have this unique affiliation.
