Make creative products and ship them to real audiences
The Creative Technologies Undergraduate Certificate equips students with creative coding skills and a maker’s mindset to transform their art and design work into original digital products that reach real audiences.
Students learn to take the ideas and creative work from their major and bring them to market as functional, audience-ready products and media. Through hands-on, project-based coursework, students gain experience with creative coding as an expressive tool, build working prototypes, iterate based on real feedback, and publish finished work. The certificate is ideal for artists and designers across all majors who want to expand their practice with technology, turning concepts into apps, games, video content, interactive experiences, or web-based projects that live in the world.
The Creative Technologies Certificate journey
Through three courses, students learn the fundamentals of creative coding, content production, and product development. The emphasis throughout is on making and shipping: building real projects for real audiences, not just classroom exercises. By completing the certificate, students will have created and launched at least one original digital product or media project, demonstrating their ability to combine creative vision with technical skills and deliver finished work to the world.
