Alfred R. Goldstein Library
The Alfred R. Goldstein Library is a 46,000-square-foot building located on the corner of Old Bradenton Road and integrates state-of-the-art collections, services, technologies, and facilities into the life and work of our creative community.
In addition to the collection of books, journals, DVDs, e-books, video games, and artists’ books, Goldstein Library is also home to the:
- ART Network Video Studio
- Barancik Student Learning Center
- Brizdle-Schoenberg Special Collections
- ESOL and First-Year Writing programs
- Office of International Student Services
- Ringling College Library Association
- Student Access Services
The library is named after Dr. Alfred R. Goldstein, who, together with his wife Ann Goldstein, have been generous supporters of the College—from the Ann and Alfred Goldstein Center that houses Institutional Technology and Film studios to the Ann and Alfred Goldstein Residence Hall to the Goldstein Studio Village.
The building was designed by Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbot and associate architect Sweet Sparkman, and built by Willis A. Smith Construction, Inc. and is LEED certified.
