Ringling College of Art and Design Motion Design faculty Kelly Warner won the Silver award for Craft Sounds Design at the inaugural Collision Awards. He was awarded for his creative sound design in the opening title sequence for Motion Design’s 2024 edition of their annual conference FutureProof. Warner’s sound design amplifies the student collaborative motion graphic with science fiction aesthetic.
As a key member of the department of Motion Design, Kelly’s audio work has enhanced nearly all student projects within the major. His original music and sound design have propelled student work to prominence, earning numerous National ADDY Awards, D&AD Pencils, Communication Arts Awards, Telly Awards, Motionographer Awards, and Rookie of the Year awards.
“It is so exciting to see Kelly Warner being personally recognized by his industry peers for his talents in sound design. Kelly innately understands how to craft a soundtrack that not only supports imagery but transforms it into an emotional experience. He is one of the best sound designers in the field of Motion Design,” said Ed Cheetham, Department Head of Motion Design.
The Collision Awards is the first global platform solely dedicated to honoring excellence in Animation and Motion Design in all its forms, celebrating the unique and incomparable creativity and technical talent in these fields.
