2022 has been a banner year for Ringling College students, faculty, and staff. This year’s highlights included an increasingly diverse student body, award-winning and internationally ranked students and academic programs, and world-class exhibition programming.

The Ringling College Fall Open House on Oct. 8 brought an estimated 850 people to campus following Hurricane Ian.

The College set another record year with the highest student enrollment and the most racially and ethnically diverse student body in College history.

This year’s Trustee Scholars proved they are an undeniable Force of Creativity.  15 students were awarded the College’s highest honor for their exceptional creative talent, community involvement, and leadership.

Ringling’s academic programs were top-ranked both nationally and internationally, with Computer Animation ranking no. one in the world, again.

Exhibition programming at Sarasota Art Museum and Campus Galleries
2022 brought incredible artists and their work to Sarasota – on campus and in the community. The Museum welcomed exhibits by Puerto-Rican sculpture artist Daniel Lind-Ramos, Jamaican textile artist Katrina Coombs, and the Ladd brothers who brought their community-based Scrollathon to Sarasota, while the Campus Galleries showcased student and faculty work, alongside accomplished alumni including Tom and Peggy Root, and Nathan Skiles.

PreCollege 2022 celebrates first in-person program in three years
Ringling’s PreCollege program drew 235 high school students from across the world to Sarasota in June. The group of 16- to 18-year-olds, who hailed from 37 states and 11 countries, experienced the award-winning education that Ringling College is known for during the four-week immersive program. This year’s in-person event followed two years of an exclusively online experience due to COVID-19. Attendance was at an all-time high, up 12.5% over 2019 when it was last held in person.
