A recent LinkedIn report, based on 2026 workforce data, has ranked the Sarasota area among the country’s fastest-growing places for career opportunities.
Released July 22, LinkedIn’s “Cities on the Rise” list, which annually ranks the top 25 metro areas emerging as professional hubs, named the North Port-Bradenton-Sarasota metro area No. 4 nationwide, citing hiring, job creation, and “talent migration” statistics.
Ringling College of Art and Design provides extensive support for students to make a successful transition from college to career. In addition to the entrepreneurial-focused Center for the Creative Economy and the INDEX (Industry Experience) program, which provides current students with real-world work experience, the College’s Career Services department works one-on-one with students and recent grads to help launch their creative careers. Career Services programs include the College Central resource manager, a mentor network, live presentations, and networking events. The department also maintains an active relationship with more than 100 recruiters representing countless career opportunities.

As Sarasota continues to grow as a professional hub, Ringling College students will have even more opportunities for staying in the area after graduation and building successful careers in southwest Florida.
