Now, more than ever, scholarship support is critical for students at Ringling College of Art and Design. With this in mind, we recently participated in the 2020 Giving Challenge to raise funds in support of the Save Our Students Scholarship. More than 900 nonprofit organizations participated in this 24-hour online giving event that was hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County with gifts (up to $100) matched by The Patterson Foundation. 

A total of $52,637 was raised for Ringling College with over $39,000 being designated to Save Our Students Scholarships. This one-time award is for Ringling College students who are facing unexpected financial hardships such as illness or injury, sudden unemployment, or losing a home in a natural disaster. In addition to supporting scholarships at Ringling College, the community – including faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and friends of the institution – came together to support Englewood Art Center, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, and the Sarasota Art Museum through their generosity. We are truly grateful for everyone’s support of this inspiring event.
