Graphic Design Students Named Students To Watch by Graphic Design USA

For the past few years, Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) has identified and recognized budding, skilled designers who are ready to burst onto the creative scene. This year, three of the 83 students chosen from art and design schools across the country hail from Ringling College of Art and Design: Douglas Alberts (Motion Design), Aiham Karahawa (Graphic Design), and Martin Pohlmann (Graphic Design).

The selected Students To Watch come from both graduate and undergraduate programs and attend MICA, RISD, CCA, SVA, Carnegie Mellon, SCAD, Ringling College of course, and many more. The Students To Watch feature is widely recognized within the design industry and allows for well-deserved student recognition, as well as a regular refresh to the professional creative community.

The Creative Group, a specialized staffing service placing creative talent with the best companies on a project, contract, and full-time basis, sponsored the competition.

“The creative industry is growing and evolving, and we expect great things from 2020, especially in the area of digital design,” says Diane Domeyer, executive director of The Creative Group.

GDUSA has been a business-to-business information source for graphic design professionals since 1963. Covering news, people, projects, trends, technology, products, and services, the brand now includes a 100,000 visitor-a-month website, a monthly e-newsletter, digital and print versions of the magazine, and nationally sponsored competitions. Their main office is located on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, NYC.
